I have just discovered how to make a 14 year old clean her room!!! AND keep it that way!!!
With Christmas just around the corner, my daughter has been on at me for ages about getting a little extra pocket money in December for the odd (and knowing her, they will be VERY odd!!) gift for her close friends and family. I hit upon an excellent way to get her to keep her room tidy....(some may call this bribery, but what the heck, a clean room is well worth it!!) I told her I will do the initial clean up for her, and if it is able to stay that way until December, she will get the extra pocket money she requires, if not, the usual amount will apply!!! Needless to say, she is very enthusiastic about the the whole thing, but then again, time will tell!! All in all, I'm just a big softy, and nine out of ten she'll probably get it anyway, just PLEEEEEEASE nobody tell her!!!
