Teenagers

I seriously need some good advice with regards to teenagers.....................why on earth are girls so much more difficult to raise than boys? The difference between my 14 year old girl and my 16 year old boy is astounding, they are totally worlds apart. All I hear 24/7 is Mommy this boy did this , Mommy that boy said that, Oooooh HE's so cute, I'm in love (it's a different boy every day by the way) etc. etc. I do not remember being that boy crazy at 14, and despite the chats and discussions it still carries on. Oh for the days when she was still tiny, and a boy was just someone to hit over the head with a toy!!!! Look at the difference in the pic's and you tell me......Waaaaaaaaah, I want my baby back!!!!

Hello...Hormones is a biggy.
I raised 3 boys and 1 daughter.

Even my boys were afraid of her at that time of the month.
Girls are also growing up a lot faster these days and the emotional demands on them are huge compared to boys.
Also we have television. videos and media to thank for warping our daughters perceptions.

The best way to treat a young flitting mind is to smile and say...that's nice and move on to the next moment of intellectual conversation :)

They honestly do grow out of it...so hang in there and know this too shall pass!

When I started to get frustrated with things my kids did or said...I reminded myself that they too have a tough and frustrating time trying to understand us.

Find a balance and hang in there!
Happy Easter!
